1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- Company” refers to 4UK Sofa Cleaners Ltd., the owner and operator of the 4UK Sofa Cleaners brand.
- “Customer” refers to the individual or entity booking the service.
- “Service(s)” refers to professional cleaning of sofas, carpets, chairs, mattresses, floors, and curtains at residential or commercial premises.
2. Booking & Deposit
- Bookings are confirmed only after the customer pays a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the estimated total service cost.
- By making a booking, the customer agrees to pay the remaining balance upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Bookings may be made via website, phone, email, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms.
3. Pricing & Estimates
- Initial estimates are provided based on photos and information supplied by the customer.
- The Company reserves the right to adjust the final price if the condition, quantity, or type of items differs materially from the information provided.
- The final price will not exceed the initial estimate unless additional services are requested and agreed in writing.
4. Discounts
- Discounts for homes with children and/or pets are applied according to total booking value:
- £100+ → 10% off
- £150+ → 15% off
- £200+ → up to 20% off
- Discounts are applied at the Company’s sole discretion and only to bookings exceeding the minimum service charge.
- Single-item or very small bookings may not qualify for discounts.
5. Payment
- Payments can be made by cash, card, or approved online payment methods.
- All prices are inclusive of applicable UK VAT unless otherwise stated.
- Failure to pay the remaining balance upon completion may result in legal action to recover the debt.
6. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Customers must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a booking.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of the deposit and/or a fee of up to 50% of the estimated service cost.
- The Company will make every effort to accommodate rescheduled appointments.
- Deposit refunds are subject to the Company’s cancellation policy.
7. Customer Obligations
- Customers must ensure that the property is safe and accessible for the Company’s staff.
- Fragile or valuable items must be removed or clearly marked.
- Children and pets must be supervised during service to ensure their safety.
8. Photography & Evidence
- Company staff may photograph or video the items to be cleaned during the initial inspection, and if deemed appropriate, during and after the cleaning process.
- These images and videos serve to document the cleaning performed, including stains removed or remaining, and may be used as evidence in case of disputes.
- By confirming the booking, the customer provides explicit consent for this purpose.
- Such media may also be used by the Company for promotional purposes (website, social media) if separately agreed.
9. Liability & Insurance
- 4UK Sofa Cleaners is fully insured for professional cleaning services.
- The Company shall not be liable for pre-existing damage or undisclosed items.
- Minor discoloration, wear, or other effects due to age or previous cleaning cannot be claimed against the Company.
- The Company’s liability for any loss or damage shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the relevant service.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
- Customer information (name, address, contact details, photos) is collected and stored securely, used solely to provide the cleaning service and process payments.
- Data will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.
- The Company complies with UK GDPR regulations.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Acknowledgment
- By booking a service with 4UK Sofa Cleaners, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
